Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport was delighted to take delivery of a brand new 17-seater Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 514 shuttle bus complete with a fully-accessible wheelchair ramp on last week.
The bus has been specially adapted to cater for passengers with additional mobility requirements, and includes features such as rear parking cameras with audible warning sound, a state-of-the-art entertainment system and air conditioning.
Transport Manager, Glyn Edwards, said: “The delivery of the new shuttle bus is something we are all very excited about. Not only will the bus improve the quality of service for all guests, it will also enable all members of the transport team to deliver the best possible guest experience.”
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 514 was provided by Ciceley Commercials in Bolton. Field Van Sales Executive, Tom Aitken, said “It was our pleasure to work with Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport on their first accessible shuttle bus. The transport team are thrilled with the new addition, and we hope that the guests enjoy it just as much”.
Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport now has a total of 4 shuttle buses in their fleet, with 3 of the buses running at any one time. The complimentary shuttle bus service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, transporting hotel guests to and from Terminals 1, 2 & 3 at Manchester Airport and the Airport Train Station. The transport team is made up of 13 drivers, and each bus covers over 400 miles a week!
